| This June the team visited Brasov in
Romania and worked for a week performing many varied operations including
operations on children who have cleft palates and cleft lips which
cause speech and breathing problems as well as lead to discrimination
because of appearance. Also operations were carried out to free the
hands of two young men who suffered with E.B.D a debilitating skin
condition which leads to disorders in which massive blistering of
the skin develops in response to minor trauma. These and other operations
performed will give hope to these patients for the future that they
might otherwise never have had. |
